Dream a little dream...

The last couple nights I've had some of the strangest dreams.  And that means I've spent too much time editing and revising and not enough time creating. I've noticed this also happens when life gets in the way and I don't write anything new for about a week.

Normally I don't remember my dreams (if I have them) but when I haven't been writing/creating I have the most vivid, interesting dreams.  Dreams that hang on all day, nag at me and sometimes get jotted down in an idea file for later.

In fact, I've got three story ideas right now that came straight from dreams.

So, what about you?  Do you remember your dreams?  Do you ever get ideas from them?  How can you tell if you haven't been writing/creating enough?

Oh yeah, I remember my dreams. Lately they're all of the stress variety. Falling off of buildings, teeth falling out, walking down the street naked...or did that really happen? Kidding.

But a couple of weeks ago, I had a dream about a story I'd put aside because my antagonist just wasn't cooperating with me. He wouldn't tell me his motive. The dream I had cleared it all up and now I'm re-writing it. Yippee!

Oh cool!

I once read that if you'll ponder whatever issues you are having with your story right before you fall asleep that your subconscious mind will work things out as you sleep. I find it really does help.

Sometimes the best inspiration comes from something within ourselves. I can have quite the doozies when it comes to dreams.

And I find I'm generally more irritable if I haven't created anything new in a while.

Oh, yes :-)
I remember my dreams, unless I try to remember my dreams... and they are always full of ideas :-D
Last night I dreamed about writing. I joined 100 day writing challenge, and have been thinking about writing for a week now :-D
